Summer Schools
Beginning in 2001, the Association holds an annual summer school, a 3-5 day skills development course for the technology transfer and innovation support professions, taught by experienced practitioners and offering mainly practical exercises and case studies in a relaxed, informal, multicultural training environment.
Special Interest Sections
Special Interest Sections (SIS) provide a framework for members with shared interests to pursue their own work programme and activities, with a view to exchanging methodologies and professional experience and building specialized groups or project consortia in order to bid for international project work (e.g. under the EU Framework Programmes).
Four SIS are currently active. They are
- TII Brussels Group
- Quality Net
- UNISPIN
- IMT – Innovation Management Techniques
The Brussels Group
The Brussels Group brings together members with a specific interest in bidding under European programmes for quarterly information meetings and offers advice on project applications and partner search.
UNISPIN
The UNISPIN SIS offers training and good practice exchange activities for the benefit of those member organisations involved in spin-off creation and support.
Quality Net
This subset of members, which is interested in raising the operating efficiency of their organisation through experience exchange and peer review, is currently evolving into the business development group of TII.
IMT Masters Class
The IMT Master Class is a platform where participants can find, share and acquire innovation management techniques (model forms, training materials, toolkits, methodologies, software, …) developed, tested and introduced by experts from companies, consultancies, higher education institutions, research centres, and public institutions, etc.
